Cotton On, one of Australia’s largest global retailers, partnered with Klarna to tackle falling in-store sales and the need to boost daily online transactions during lockdown. Facing the challenge of attracting and converting new customers while building loyalty, Cotton On implemented Klarna’s flexible payment solution to offer shoppers more convenient payment options.

Klarna and Cotton On launched a collaborative multi-channel campaign — including co-branded EDMs, Instagram posts, Klarna app placements and merchant spotlights, plus sitewide modules and organic promotion on Cotton On’s channels — to drive awareness and conversions. The campaign delivered strong results: a 3x increase in purchase volume, a 630% increase in order numbers, and an overall 4–5x spike in volume during the campaign, demonstrating Klarna’s measurable impact.
