Intercom, a business messaging company serving more than 25,000 customers with 900+ employees worldwide, needed a technology solution to support rapid growth while keeping its revenue accounting team lean. Intercom adopted Klarity’s automated contract review platform to replace a time-consuming materiality‑based scoping process and surface risk across its entire contract population.

Klarity was deployed as the first‑pass review for all customer contracts and a key control in Intercom’s SOX framework, enabling a shift to a risk‑based review that directs the two‑person team to high‑risk clauses. The implementation delivered broader, more accurate contract coverage, allowed auditors direct access to roughly 300 samples (eliminating months of manual document pulling), reduced audit time, and helped Intercom avoid adding headcount.
