A Kitewheel Case Study
The Leading UK Motoring Organisation, a UK automotive services provider specializing in breakdown vehicle service and fleet management, wanted to launch innovative, technology-driven services to improve customer satisfaction, grow new customers, and reduce attrition. To do this, it needed a way to process high-volume telematics data from in-vehicle tracking devices in real time and make intelligent decisions based on vehicle events, customer history, and external data. Kitewheel’s Customer Engagement Hub was chosen to help with this challenge.
Kitewheel implemented a real-time, scalable solution that connected thousands of vehicle devices to cloud systems, Microsoft Azure SQL, Salesforce CRM, email, SMS, and AWS infrastructure. The platform analyzed nearly 360 million events in three months at an average of 120 milliseconds per record, triggering around 20 real-time customer interventions to prevent accidents or emergencies. The program is now being expanded to handle over 7 billion transactions per day, with international rollout underway.
