Coca-Cola worked with Kitewheel to make sense of massive amounts of social data across multiple channels. The company needed a way to automatically listen, analyze, and respond to social mentions in real time, because its existing process was manual, fragmented, and relied on spreadsheets and six separate tools that did not work together.
Kitewheel’s Customer Engagement Hub connected six social channels and matched mentions to Coca-Cola’s consumer database to identify individuals, categorize each mention, and determine sentiment. The solution helped Coca-Cola identify about 800 “superfans” and 90,000 “fans” with strong social reach, analyze 30 million social mentions in less than three months, and drive outreach that expanded advocacy to a network of roughly 8 million people.
