Torus Working with Kirona to Deliver Dynamic Resource Scheduling for Repairs and Maintenance Service

Torus, a North-West England housing provider formed from Helena Partnerships and Golden Gates Housing Trust, faced a major IT consolidation challenge as part of its Fit for the Future programme: replace 27 legacy systems with seven central platforms and improve scheduling for responsive repairs and Voids management. Torus retained KIRONA’s Dynamic Resource Scheduler (DRS) — and later rolled out KIRONA’s DRS Project Planner and mobile workstreams — to meet the need for more efficient operative mobilisation and reduced downtime.

KIRONA implemented DRS across Torus’s repairs and maintenance teams and deployed the Project Planner to break complex Voids work into individual tasks, allocate visits, and support mobile field execution. The vendor also supported a seamless migration of over 5,000 jobs during a big‑bang go‑live. As a result, Torus has cut operative downtime, increased productivity, introduced a standard, flexible approach to resource use, and improved on‑time, in‑budget completion of jobs.
