A Kirona Case Study

Preview of the Vodafone Ghana Case Study

Rolling out best practice Vodafone Ghana increases field workforce utilisation by 70% with Job Manager

Vodafone Ghana needed to modernise field operations for 150 engineers serving some 300,000 customers, replacing paper-based workflows, improving visibility and utilisation, controlling overtime and enabling job prioritisation. To meet these goals Vodafone Ghana selected Kirona’s Job Manager, deploying job dispatch and status updates to engineers on Motorola MC65 rugged smartphones and integrating the solution with existing back‑office systems.

Kirona implemented Job Manager and integrated it into four incumbent systems so engineers could update job status in real time, eliminating paper reporting and wasted trips. The change drove a 70% increase in engineer utilisation (from about 4 jobs/day to 6–7), cut downtime from 12 days to 4 days (a 66% reduction), tightened overtime controls and enabled new customer SLAs — delivering clear efficiency and customer‑experience gains for Vodafone Ghana.
