London & Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q), one of the UK’s largest registered housing providers managing around 90,000 properties, needed a more flexible way to manage a rapidly growing direct maintenance team (from 10 to ~300 operatives) covering 50,000 properties. Faced with limitations of a slot-based scheduler called Total, L&Q selected Kirona’s DRS Scheduler to provide a fully integrated, dynamic mobile workforce management and scheduling solution.
Kirona implemented its DRS software, integrating it with L&Q’s existing systems and rolling the solution out incrementally. Kirona’s DRS automatically allocates jobs based on operative location and workload, reducing travel time, increasing tasks completed per day, improving SLA compliance and tenant appointment visibility — delivering at least a 20% uplift in performance across the repairs and maintenance business.
