Ian Williams property services optimises operations by migrating to DRS Scheduler V5

Ian Williams property services faced rising operational demands managing responsive repairs across some 400,000 homes a year and between 75–150 active operatives at any time, while increasingly tendering to clients who required a modern dynamic appointing system. To meet these challenges they migrated from OPTI‑TIME V4 to DRS Scheduler V5, a move that required new hardware, a different SQL version and new workflows but promised greater scheduling control and visibility.

DRS Scheduler implemented V5 in a phased rollout (running V4 live and V5 test in parallel) to minimise disruption and tailor zoning, postcode filtering and operational controls to Ian Williams’ needs. DRS Scheduler delivered deep drill‑down filtering and exportable data for reporting, plus postcode zoning that reduced miles, fuel, wasted time and vehicle maintenance so operatives complete more jobs per day; the system also enforces area and opening‑hours rules to cut wasted trips and improve SLA compliance.
