A Kirona Case Study
Grand Union Housing Group, which manages nearly 12,000 affordable homes, faced scheduling inconsistencies after upgrading from Kirona’s Dynamic Resource Scheduler (DRS) v4 to the web-based DRS v5. Kirona diagnostics found planners forcing jobs and assigning suboptimal appointment slots, reducing scheduling efficiency for Grand Union’s 30 field-based repairs and maintenance operatives.
Kirona responded with planner refresher training, coaching sessions and repeat Health Checks to optimise DRS use; as a result Kirona helped Grand Union increase scheduled jobs by 46%, raise best-slot usage by 26.5%, reduce forced jobs from 8% to 3.4% (a 4.6 percentage-point improvement) and deliver about 28 more jobs per day, improving planner performance and travel-time–based slot selection.
