County Durham Housing Group Implements Dynamic Resource Scheduling from Kirona to Improve Repairs and Maintenance Service

County Durham Housing Group, made up of Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes with a combined housing stock of 18,500, faced inefficient working from three disparate housing management systems when unifying processes in 2016. As part of the migration to a single Aareon QL system they required a robust scheduling solution for more than 100 responsive repair and void operatives, and appointed Kirona to provide Dynamic Resource Scheduling (DRS).

Kirona implemented its DRS solution (live April 2018) to allocate operatives by geography and availability, reducing downtime and increasing productivity across the repairs service. Early back-office feedback has been positive—jobs are assigned more logically—and the group is now assessing further Kirona tools (InfoSuite and Project Planner) to enhance reporting and analytics.
