Balfour Beatty Increases Productivity of Gas and Water Business Workforce

Balfour Beatty, a leading international infrastructure group, needed to reduce travel time and improve scheduling for its Purge & Relight engineers working across widely dispersed gas and water contracts. To gain real-time visibility and a flexible mobile workforce management system, Balfour Beatty engaged Kirona in April 2016 to deploy its field service management suite: Dynamic Resource Scheduler (DRS), Job Manager and InfoSuite.

Kirona empowered operatives to create jobs on-site, applied dynamic resource scheduling to meet SLAs, and delivered real-time performance insight through InfoSuite. After rollouts in the North West (June 2016) and West Midlands (end of 2017), Kirona’s solution increased the number of daily appointments, reduced travel time and fuel costs, and provided actionable management information to further optimise operations.
