GoDaddy, the web services company serving nearly 17 million customers, needed to reposition itself from “the place to buy domains” to a true champion for small business owners and create a space where small business owners and GoDaddy Pros could connect. To meet that challenge, GoDaddy partnered with Khoros to build a Khoros-powered online customer community.
Using Khoros Community, GoDaddy launched a crowdsourced platform—recruiting 150 “Community Founders,” publishing personalized content, and connecting customers with GoDaddy Pros—which drove ~70,000 page views in the first month. The Khoros-powered community contributed to a 65% revenue increase in one year (and grew tenfold within 18 months), while delivering +24% new registrations and +51% more orders, becoming a sustained marketing and care channel for GoDaddy.
