EDF Energy, the UK’s largest low‑carbon electricity supplier, set out to boost female representation in engineering through its #PrettyCurious STEM awareness programme. To track and manage the surge in social conversation and extend campaign reach, EDF Energy partnered with Khoros alongside Brandwatch technology to monitor, moderate and engage both branded and non‑branded conversations.
Khoros configured Brandwatch queries, connected them into the Khoros Inbox, and enabled moderators to respond, redirect users to resources, and amplify influencer and media partnerships. The work generated 3.5M views of #PrettyCurious content, helped EDF Energy raise new‑grad female intake from 18% to 30% two years ahead of plan (now 35% of new hires) and delivered a 66% increase in female hires.
