Copa América celebrated its 100th anniversary with 16 teams, 32 matches and events across 10 U.S. cities, and needed a fan‑centric social strategy that could publish and respond in English, Spanish and Portuguese while giving content creators rich data and flexibility. To meet that challenge, Copa América partnered with Khoros and used Khoros’ social media management tool to manage multilingual publishing, real‑time listening, and targeted engagement.
Khoros enabled Copa América to publish, analyze and route content to specific teams, use dynamic account filtering and advanced search rules, and deliver automatic targeting so fans saw relevant posts. The campaign drove a 2,700% increase in overall engagement, audience growth across social channels of 318% and a 320% increase in audience size, and helped uncover influencers (including a YouTube star and a former Houston Oilers player with 250k followers).
