Case Study: Proximus achieves end-to-end visibility into virtualized east-west traffic with Keysight CloudLens

European ISP extends visibility into virtualized infrastructure

Proximus, the largest ISP in Belgium, faced limited visibility as it migrated network functions to a virtualized, OpenStack/KVM environment — east‑west VM traffic no longer crossed physical taps and their existing analytics probes risked blind spots. To maintain reliable traffic analytics, troubleshooting and preserve investments in physical monitoring, Proximus worked with Keysight and adopted Keysight CloudLens (including CloudLens vTap) alongside Keysight Vision ONE and Vision 7300 network packet brokers.

Keysight deployed CloudLens vTAPs managed by the CloudLens Management Server to mirror and manipulate virtual traffic at the host/virtual switch level and sent optimized feeds through Vision ONE/7300 NPBs to Proximus’s existing monitoring and security tools. The solution eliminated blind spots, restored end‑to‑end visibility (including east‑west traffic), preserved current workflows and tools, and delivered faster detection and remediation — enabling Proximus to continue rolling out NFV services with confidence.
