British American Tobacco launches Vuse AR treasure hunt with Kerve in 7 weeks

British American Tobacco (BAT) needed an innovative way to promote its Vuse Go product and engage audiences at major European summer festivals. They partnered with the digital production studio Kerve to create an ambitious and immersive augmented reality (AR) activation.

Kerve designed and built a bespoke Pokémon-inspired AR game called 'Vuse Finder' in just seven weeks. The solution included a custom CMS for managing prizes and analytics. The game was launched at multiple festivals, where it was played by thousands of attendees, successfully creating a new and immersive way to engage with the brand. The campaign was such a success that Vuse plans to reuse the versatile application Kerve created in future festival seasons.
