SearchMarketers partnered with MLS Online—a national MLS search rivaling Zillow and Trulia—to scale a lead-acquisition program into 145 local markets across California, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Georgia, Minnesota and Florida. Faced with intense local competition from brokers, power realtors and aggregator sites, the team needed a robust, localized campaign template that could be deployed quickly across multiple search engines with minimal turnaround.
Using Kenshoo Search and Kenshoo Desktop, SearchMarketers standardized and rapidly launched campaigns across Google and Yahoo/Bing, applying an account-wide Bid-to-CPA rule across roughly 130 markets, using bid-to-position in highly competitive areas, and setting dimensions to protect top-performing keywords. Between comparable periods in 2013 and 2014 the approach delivered fast efficiencies and strong gains: +96% CTR, +110% leads, -8% CPL and an estimated +250% growth in profit from real estate referrals.
