Lyft Scales the Success of Hyper-Regionalized Social and Search Campaigns

Lyft, the on-demand ride app serving over a million rides per day across hundreds of cities, faced the challenge of scaling hyper-regionalized marketing for both riders and drivers. Launching millions of location-specific search and social ads as they expanded into new regions was time-consuming and error-prone—regional search setup was fully manual and refreshes required three people 20+ hours each—while social activation needed rapid, complex rollout across 40 geos and integration with measurement partners.

Using Kenshoo and integrations with ProductsUp and Singular, Lyft automated campaign creation and mirroring (Google to Bing and Yahoo Gemini), applied feed-driven multivariate ad generation, and standardized creation flows, naming templates, Creative Manager workflows, and Personas. This automation enabled rapid, scalable testing and creative refreshes, and helped Lyft expand service coverage from 54% to 95% of the U.S. and launch in Canada, with search and social driving major growth.
