A KEMP Technologies Case Study

Preview of the Keepmoat Case Study

Top 10 UK home builder selects Kemp to load balance Always On VPN

Keepmoat, a top‑ten UK home builder rolling out Windows 10 Enterprise, needed a resilient remote‑access solution to give its highly mobile workforce seamless, always‑on connectivity and to remove any single point of failure in its new Always On VPN architecture. To replace its incumbent hardware load balancer with a virtualised, easy‑to‑manage option, Keepmoat selected KEMP Technologies and its Virtual LoadMaster product.

KEMP Technologies deployed two Virtual LoadMasters as an HA pair in front of Windows Server 2016 RAS servers to terminate and intelligently load balance IKEv2 traffic. By using LoadMaster features such as Port Following to keep UDP 500/4500 flows paired, the solution was rapidly rolled out on Keepmoat’s IaaS platform, eliminated single points of failure, and delivered a consistent always‑on experience for mobile staff while supporting critical services (SMTP, ADFS, secure FTP) across the estate.
