Sundsvall in Sweden benefits from better load balancing

Sundsvalls Kommun, the municipality for Sundsvall, Sweden, needed a more effective way to handle heavy Microsoft Exchange traffic — about 8,000 users, over 250,000 incoming/outgoing emails per week and nearly 5TB of mail data — because Exchange 2010’s CAS array did not provide true load balancing. To address this bottleneck they selected KEMP Technologies and its LoadMaster appliances (dual LM2600s) to improve reliability and performance.

KEMP Technologies installed the dual LoadMaster LM2600s (installation completed in under six hours), which automatically route users to the best-performing Exchange server, remove congestion during peak times and maintain service during server maintenance.
