Now IT Solutions, an Australian IT specialist serving small to multi‑site businesses, faced a critical infrastructure challenge when its existing Microsoft and Linux-based load balancers could not share state with Amazon Web Services’ relational database or access Microsoft Exchange, constraining service to major customers. To resolve this, Now IT selected KEMP Technologies for its ease of use and application templates to provide reliable load‑balancing for email and remote desktop services.
KEMP Technologies implemented virtual services on individual VMs and migrated them into high‑availability pairs, deploying KEMP load balancers to support Microsoft Exchange, remote desktop gateways/brokers and other applications. The solution now handles over 4,000 users (about 1.3 TB of email per month and more than three million emails) and 3,500+ RDS connections, delivering faster application delivery, simplified user experience, improved scaling, higher redundancy/availability, and reduced troubleshooting time and man‑hour costs.
