Providing High Availability and Multi-Resiliency for Mission Critical Applications

Harris County District Attorney’s Office required an intelligent load‑balancing solution with Geographic Server Load Balancing (GSLB) to deliver high availability and multi‑resiliency for mission‑critical applications (including Microsoft Exchange 2016) across its production and off‑site disaster‑recovery data centers. With multiple internal projects underway and a need for a fast, simplified deployment, Harris County selected KEMP Technologies’ LoadMaster (LM-4000) and EnterprisePlus subscription, together with KEMP Professional Services, to meet these requirements.

KEMP Technologies’ Professional Services deployed 4 x LM-4000 appliances in HA pairs, enabled GSLB and Edge Security Pack features, and configured a two‑arm Exchange 2016 topology supporting over 800 active users. The initial LoadMaster configuration was completed within two days with on‑call engineering support during cutover, followed by a full handover and administrator training. As a result, Harris County gained high availability and seamless multi‑site failover, simplified and accelerated deployment, and confidence in continued business continuity.
