Kemp’s application delivery fabric gives Sligro peace of mind

Sligro, a leading Dutch foodservice company with over 50 cash & carry outlets and a large eCommerce operation, was dealing with a fragmented application delivery fabric built on ADCs from multiple vendors, driving up costs, complexity and time-to-resolution as it moved to a new IBM WebSphere-based platform. To unify uptime, security and scalability, Sligro selected KEMP Technologies and its ADC solutions (Kemp LoadMaster, Kemp WAF, Kemp ESP and Kemp 360).

KEMP Technologies deployed 14 Kemp LoadMasters (plus four GEO LoadMasters) with Web Application Firewall and Kemp 360 Central/Vision for centralized management; the migration of operational workloads was completed in six months. The consolidated fabric now supports ~40–50k daily WebSphere users (and up to 375,000 concurrent sessions), handles Exchange for 3,000+ users (~200,000 messages/day), and delivered increased visibility, faster time-to-resolution, lower OPEX and simpler operations—backed by notably responsive KEMP support.
