A KEMP Technologies Case Study
MoneyWeek, the UK’s best-selling financial weekly, faced rapidly growing email traffic—thousands of messages daily across 300+ mailboxes—and needed to move off unsupported Exchange 2003 to Microsoft Exchange 2010. Because Exchange 2010’s architecture made Client Access Server load balancing critical, MoneyWeek and IT partner System Professional selected KEMP Technologies and its Virtual LoadMasters (VLM-100) to meet this mission‑critical requirement.
System Professional virtualized MoneyWeek’s infrastructure and installed a redundant pair of KEMP Technologies VLM-100s to provide SSL offload, Layer 7 health checks, fault tolerance and optimized handling of OWA, ActiveSync, Outlook Anywhere and other protocols. The KEMP solution delivered a highly available, scalable Exchange platform that increased server capacity, reduced support and hardware costs, saved power/cooling and rack space, and gave MoneyWeek significantly improved email reliability and responsiveness.
