Case Study: Austin Bank achieves high availability and improved online banking performance with KEMP Technologies LoadMaster

A KEMP Technologies Case Study

Preview of the Austin Bank Case Study

Kemp helps Austin Bank avoid growing pains by providing high availability

Austin Bank, an East Texas community bank with 21 locations, was experiencing website congestion and poor performance across a largely rural footprint as rapid growth taxed its online servers. To solve these availability and performance challenges, the bank engaged KEMP Technologies and its LoadMaster load balancing appliances to distribute traffic and improve end-user access.

KEMP Technologies deployed two LoadMaster appliances in Austin Bank’s Longview operations center to load-balance traffic, provide hot-standby failover and offload SSL processing. The result was significantly improved performance and availability (the LoadMaster platform can handle up to one million concurrent sessions), elimination of server timeouts and after-hours emergency trips, easier web expansion without extra SSL certificates, better service for dial-up and mobile customers, and protection that helped thwart attacks on the bank’s virtual IP address.
