Global Giants Join Forces In Cybersecurity

Telefónica, the Madrid‑based global telecom and digital services provider serving more than 322 million customers in 21 countries, created an in‑house security unit called ElevenPaths to transform into a leading digital services company and tackle rising malware, botnet and phishing threats. To supplement ElevenPaths’ capabilities and gain reliable, up‑to‑date threat data, Telefónica engaged Kaspersky Lab, using Kaspersky Security Intelligence Services.

Kaspersky Lab provides automated threat intelligence feeds and analytical reports that give Telefónica visibility into current malware, botnet and phishing activity, enabling ElevenPaths to issue actionable alerts to customers and enrich analysts’ investigations. The partnership has deepened into co‑development work — notably Tacyt, a mobile‑threat platform that monitors, classifies and analyzes millions of apps (adding thousands daily) — enhancing Telefónica’s malware protection and overall customer security experience.
