Alaska Airlines wanted to modernize international check-in by replacing airport counter and kiosk-based ID checks with a smoother self-service experience. Jumio implemented ID verification within the Alaska Airlines app, allowing guests to verify travel documents on their own before reaching the airport counter. The result was a faster, more efficient check-in process that minimized frustration for international travelers and saved time in the airport lobby and at the gate. Alaska Airlines also set a goal for 2025 of having at least 50% of guests use self-service ID verification, with Jumio expected to play a key role in reaching that target.
