A Join.me Case Study
Seam Studios is a small Chicago-based design firm (three core employees and about ten contractors) that runs a largely virtual workflow from a century-old factory studio. The team struggled with their previous web conferencing tool—GoToMeeting—because it forced full-screen sharing (preventing private note-taking), caused usability issues during artistic reviews, and made scheduling across multiple time zones cumbersome.
After trialing join.me Pro, Seam began sharing single windows so the creative lead could take private notes, used pass presenter for real-time collaborative edits, and relied on join.me scheduling for multi–time-zone calls. The change improved focus and sped up design iterations (replacing email back-and-forth), enabled live last-minute edits for deadline-driven clients, and delivered over 50% cost savings versus their prior solution.
