OfficeDrop is a Cambridge-based startup that provides cloud filing, scanner software and a mail-in document scanning service. As the team grew beyond the three founders they needed more structure and predictability: a way to run Scrum, plan sprints, track velocity and manage work across engineering, customer support and a multi-step scanning operations workflow—limits they’d hit with their previous issue tracker.

They adopted Jira and GreenHopper, creating separate projects, dashboards, boards and custom workflows (and later integrating Zendesk for external support). The change gave them reliable sprint planning and burndowns, a closed loop from customers to engineers, streamlined bulk-order tracking and better capacity planning—helping them meet SLAs, improve operational efficiency and expand Jira usage across the business.
