Indeed, the world’s leading job search engine, faced growing process and coordination challenges as it scaled. Having already used Jira in Engineering, Indeed’s Program Management team was charged with applying similar discipline to nontechnical functions—Marketing, Legal, and HR—to reduce email-based work, eliminate ad-hoc processes, and increase consistency across the enterprise.

The team rolled out Jira Core and Jira Software with custom issue types and workflows—using Jira to manage design requests, flag legal reviews for product and market changes, and represent employees as HR issue types for onboarding and personnel changes. The result was streamlined, standardized processes with better tracking and visibility across teams, faster engineering delivery, and improved operational efficiency company-wide.
