Case Study: Mambu launches its microfinance SaaS in under a year with Jira Software

A Jira Software Case Study

Preview of the Mambu Case Study

Hosted development suite used for hosted microfinance platform

Mambu is a 2010 Stuttgart‑based startup that builds a cloud SaaS banking application for microfinance organizations. As a 10‑person, internationally distributed team, they needed to deliver an affordable, secure product to market quickly while avoiding the time and cost of on‑premise infrastructure and piecemeal tools for tracking, code control and collaboration.

They adopted Atlassian’s hosted Jira Studio — combining JIRA, Confluence wiki, SVN integration and GreenHopper — to run agile sprints, customizable workflows and a QA stage. The integrated, hosted suite removed server maintenance, made distributed collaboration feel like a shared whiteboard, and helped Mambu move from first check‑in to product launch in under a year.
