Camerican International, a 50-person U.S. food-importing company based in Paramus, NJ, struggled with disconnected information across the organization and no single place to answer “I have a question, where do I go?” This lack of a unified knowledge source slowed operations and made it hard for staff to find customer, order and shipment information quickly.
To fix that, Camerican built a custom business platform on Confluence augmented with Marketplace add-ons. Today everyone uses Confluence to log customer data, track orders and shipments, and run reports; the instance has grown to over 1,200 spaces and 26,704 pages (adding roughly 500 spaces and 10,000 pages per year). Using an agile, build-as-you-go approach, the company continuously optimizes the platform so employees can reliably find answers and streamline workflows.
