JAMF Software, a Minneapolis-based provider of enterprise Apple device management used by more than 7,000 customers to manage 5.5 million devices, grew rapidly (from 165 to 505 employees) and doubled its engineering team. Despite fast development, the company faced slow testing and build processes and lacked the processes and tools needed for continuous delivery.
JAMF adopted a DevOps culture and implemented Atlassian tools—Bitbucket Server, Bamboo, Jira Software and Jira Service Desk—integrated with Hipchat and Confluence to automate builds, manage code and track requests. The change increased transparency, improved code quality, shortened release cycles and enabled faster, more collaborative delivery to customers.
