Farmers State Bank, a $208 million community bank in Parkston, South Dakota, faced declining service from its former core provider and lacked modern online/mobile banking and real-time transaction processing. In 2012 the bank selected Jack Henry Banking and its Core Director platform, also outsourcing core operations, specifically to regain high-quality vendor support and deliver better digital and real-time services to its customers.

Jack Henry Banking implemented Core Director along with Teller Capture, transaction processing services and upgraded Internet/mobile banking, and managed a smooth conversion with a dedicated team for each department. The result: more than 500 mobile banking users and about 2,100 app uses per month, immediate posting of teller and debit card transactions, increased staff efficiency and easier branch conversions, plus improved disaster recovery and overall customer service.
