Singtel Satellite, part of Singtel, needed a reliable remote support solution for vessels operating over very limited satellite bandwidth, where data is scarce and connections can be as low as 64 kbps. Their previous remote access tool was not dependable in low-bandwidth conditions and used too much data, making it unsuitable for maritime operations.

ISL Online provided its cloud-based remote access and support software, which Singtel Satellite tested and then deployed on shipboard computers. The solution performed smoothly on 64 kbps and below, with medium screen activity typically using about 30–40 kbps, while also meeting Singtel Satellite’s strict security requirements with AES 256-bit encryption and SSL end-to-end tunneling.
