Regional Bakery, a mid-sized bakery customer, wanted to secure wider distribution with a major retailer and better understand how its product was performing versus the rest of the market. To support that goal, the company worked with IRI and its retailer collaboration platform, including IRI Shopper Analytics and Customer Advantage View™, to assess growth, shopper behavior, and potential expansion opportunities.
IRI helped Regional Bakery build a strong brand story by analyzing category performance, conversion and leakage, shopper response, and where shoppers were buying the product when it was unavailable at the retailer. As a result, the retailer buyer was persuaded by the business case and agreed to expand distribution to all of its stores, delivering a significant increase in distribution through IRI’s insights.
