Multi Brand CPG Manufacturing Company worked with IRI after acquiring a frozen dessert brand that was underperforming in a category they knew little about. The company needed to understand the frozen dessert market’s unique dynamics, identify growth opportunities, and improve the brand’s weak #3 and #4 holiday positions.
IRI conducted a full category and competitive landscape analysis, studied key consumer segments, and helped build sales stories to close distribution gaps. Based on these insights, IRI recommended stronger holiday merchandising, targeted coupons and messaging, cross-promotion with the client’s core brands, and new product innovation. These actions drove a 41% sales lift, or $45 million over two years, helped the brand reach #1 overall and during the holidays, and added 1.5 million new households to the category.
