Maximising The Value of PRO Data with a Single Scalable Solution

The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust (via the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases) had long relied on paper-based patient‑reported outcome measures (PROMs), which required manual entry into an Access database and left clinicians without ready, comparable scores at the point of care. Keen to eliminate paper, accelerate data capture, import historic records and synchronise with existing NHS systems, the Trust approached IQVIA for a tailored, flexible solution — IQVIA Connection.

IQVIA implemented IQVIA Connection, importing over 40,000 patients (with daily synchronisation of ~1,500 updates) and storing more than 180,000 completed PROMs, while enabling patients to complete assessments on clinic iPads or any internet device. The IQVIA solution delivers real‑time scoring, visual charts and exports that have improved clinical decision‑making, increased patient engagement, reduced staff data entry, and enhanced trial screening and research capabilities.
