A IQVIA Case Study
Life Science Company faced growing safety‑reporting and monitoring challenges: telehealth drove a surge in audio-based adverse event (AE) reports and call‑center backlogs, volumes and language needs outpaced hiring, and manual screening of local (often unindexed, multilingual) journals was slow and error‑prone. To address these gaps the company engaged IQVIA, deploying IQVIA’s Detect Voice Module and Detect Literature Module to automate AE detection across audio‑visual files and local literature sources.
IQVIA implemented automated transcription, confidence scoring, bookmarking of AE references in AV files, auto‑translation and its standard Detect workflow, while the Detect Literature Module crawls journal sites, deduplicates results, auto‑translates abstracts and provides a CFR Part 11‑compliant, auditable trail. The solution reduced time spent listening to calls and cleared call backlogs, scaled without proportional hiring, and cut time to identify relevant local literature by up to 50% per configured URL while reducing translation delays and improving regulatory traceability.
