Large Multi-National Pharmaceutical Company needed to move from a mixed vendor model to a standardized approach that guaranteed ownership of and timely access to clinical data across countries. The customer selected IQVIA to provide functional service provider (FSP) capabilities—dedicated monitoring and operational resources (CRAs, CTAs, CTA line managers) plus centralized monitoring, global data management, biostatistics, safety and regulatory support—as a core part of its multi-vendor FSP model.

IQVIA implemented an integrated, cross‑functional FSP model covering ~60% of the company’s monitored countries (31 countries across Europe, North America and Asia) and supporting 130+ studies, consolidated project reviews and a risk-based monitoring (RBM) approach with dedicated central monitors. IQVIA’s delivery exceeded targets: CRF pages submitted faster than the stated 88% goal, 92% of queries answered within the time range, ~97% on-time submission, and consistent data visibility and efficiencies that expanded IQVIA’s scope of services across the customer’s 50+ country study footprint.
