IQVIA hired and onboarded clinical nurse educators to support the country’s pandemic response

Medical Device and Healthcare Company engaged IQVIA after receiving Emergency Use Authorization for a COVID‑19 rapid antigen test and facing the challenge of deploying kits state-by-state into nontraditional testing sites (schools, parking lot pop‑ups, libraries, fire stations) without sufficient in‑house resources. They needed a partner that could adapt to rapidly changing state protocols and execute a lockstep implementation plan using expert support.

IQVIA deployed a team of 50 virtual clinical nurse educators (from a network of over 2,200 CNEs) and two regional supervisors, completing onboarding, training, screenings and tech provisioning in two rapid phases (27 CNEs in 4.5 weeks; 25 in 3 weeks). IQVIA’s CNEs supported sites via video, email and phone, with analytics tracking activity and budgets—contributing to 150 million tests completed across all 50 states in 13 weeks and an extension of the program from three to five months.
