Global Pharma Drug Development Company had accumulated terabytes of isolated, legacy data and struggled with fragmented pilot projects that used non‑industry platforms. Without formal data stewardship or governance, the company faced inconsistent naming conventions, duplicated and missing records, and a lack of confidence in analytics. They engaged IQVIA to deliver an enterprise information management (EIM) approach purpose‑built for the life sciences to address these issues.
IQVIA migrated the customer’s environment to Azure, deployed a modern analytics platform and EIM foundation, and implemented solutions including IQVIA’s Next Best Action and 360 customer/payer/patient system. In seven months Next Best Action was rolled out across 18 markets and now uses 350 custom algorithms by 127 sales teams and 68 brand teams; IQVIA also delivered a data help desk, stewardship program, an analytics data mart, normalized naming conventions and pre‑integrated analytics‑ready datasets supporting more than 200 use cases. The IQVIA program increased productivity, reduced the need for analysts to clean and integrate data, lowered costs via on‑shore/off‑shore resourcing, and restored business confidence in data quality and insights.
