A IQVIA Case Study

Preview of the Atopic Dermatitis (AD) Treatment Provider Case Study

Global Phase II Study Early Enrollment

The Atopic Dermatitis (AD) Treatment Provider engaged IQVIA (IQVIA Biotech) to run a global Phase II study that faced difficult recruitment of a seasonal, hard-to-reach AD population across three countries (U.S., Poland, Australia), along with language, cultural, time-zone and country-specific regulatory challenges and a dispersed vendor network. IQVIA was responsible for recruitment/enrollment management, vendor management, system integration (IWRS, EDC) and a risk-based monitoring approach to meet tight time and budget constraints.

IQVIA Biotech deployed a customized multimedia recruitment campaign, enrollment projections based on historical site metrics, a three-tiered SDV strategy, continuous data cleaning/analytics and regular cross‑functional coordination and training. The program screened 195 patients and randomized 121 across 30 sites, completed enrollment four weeks early and under budget, achieved first patient enrollment 3.5 weeks ahead and database lock three weeks early, meeting key milestones ahead of schedule.
