Leading Global Pharmaceutical Company selected IQVIA to recruit patients for two Phase II psoriasis studies—300 scalp/body and 400 body‑only patients—across 33–40 sites. The challenge was to randomize 700 patients within an 18‑week window from early May to the end of August, a seasonally difficult period for psoriasis enrollment that risked delaying the development program.
IQVIA implemented its patient recruitment service—combining an “overlap” site strategy, predictive enrollment analytics, and a heavily front‑loaded advertising campaign with daily monitoring and site‑level adjustments. The result: full randomization in 16.5 weeks (scalp/body) and 15.5 weeks (body‑only), saving 1.5 and 2.5 weeks respectively, meeting targets ahead of schedule while spending just over 50% of the planned advertising budget.
