TELUS, Canada’s fastest-growing national telecommunications company, needed a new web and mobile GIS platform in early 2015 to support cable plant locates, field technicians, construction, and a strategic fiber network deployment. The company wanted a solution that could be deployed quickly, provide accurate up-to-date information, and help meet business, deployment, and regulatory requirements. IQGeo was selected to provide the platform.

IQGeo implemented its web and mobile GIS platform for TELUS after a rapid evaluation and live trial, with the first production rollout completed in just five weeks. The solution gave more than 8,000 users access to detailed network information and reduced cable location time from 5-7 minutes to seconds. TELUS also praised IQGeo for its usability, performance, and Google Maps integration, and the platform has continued to expand into new enterprise applications.
