Blue Rhine creates pick-and-learn and smart mirrors for "Store of the Future"

Blue Rhine worked with Intuiface to help create Majid Al Futtaim’s “Store of the Future” at Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, where the challenge was to deliver a compact, tech-enabled retail experience that supported shopper browsing and ordering while also capturing useful analytics. The project included a smart mirror, pick-and-learn setup, and a real-time back-of-house dashboard.

Using Intuiface, Blue Rhine built the in-store applications and connected them to RFID sensors, cameras, and digital content systems. Intuiface enabled a fast pivot from unreliable RFID tags to pickup-sensor hangers and supported locally cached video through Headless CMS, eliminating playback delays. The store launched successfully in December 2021 and January 2022, earned strong press coverage, and helped drive plans for additional Store of the Future rollouts across more MAF malls.
