A IntraLinks Case Study
MAMG Asset Management, a leading UK infrastructure asset and SPV manager, was instructed to sell a portfolio of 11 PFI projects (schools, hospitals and street lighting) across England with a capital value of £800–900 million. The sale was highly complex and paper‑heavy—MAMG needed to manage 185,000 pages of documentation, coordinate advisors and bidders, and run a controlled competitive process with five potential buyers.
Working with KPMG and Hogan Lovells, MAMG chose Intralinks Dealspace as a centralized virtual data room, created a detailed index, and had one team member load and maintain the materials while tracking buyer activity and directing queries to relevant documents. The VDR was active for six months, the competitive sales process took three months, and the portfolio was ultimately sold to a single buyer for approximately £123 million, with MAMG noting the platform made the otherwise unmanageable deal possible.
