IG Design Group plc, a global designer and supplier of gift packaging, greetings and stationery selling to over 160,000 stores, needed a better way to manage a growing M&A pipeline. Until then deal documents were exchanged by email and tracked in Excel, creating version-control problems, lack of access controls and time-consuming reporting — so the group’s IT manager set out to find a secure, easy-to-use solution for sharing sensitive information both internally and with third parties.

The company adopted Intralinks to centralize and control M&A documents, enabling secure sharing without email, strict access controls, and single-live versions of files. The rollout allowed one person to migrate deal data (including custom Excel fields) in two days, brought new users on board in about 15 minutes, reduced emailing of sensitive documents, and made it straightforward to export up-to-date project information for board reporting.
