Grupo ASSA, a Panama‑based insurer founded in 1936 with operations across Central and South America, handles high‑value corporate policies that require coordinating reinsurance across nine partner firms in different countries. For each reinsurance operation the company must share roughly 1,600 documents with about 60 professionals, so protecting sensitive client data, ensuring transparency and closing deals quickly are critical to preserve trust and profitability.

In 2010 Grupo ASSA adopted Intralinks Exchanges to securely share, control and audit access to reinsurance information; the solution was implemented in one day with a brief training and quickly replaced insecure email workflows. The platform integrated the nine partners, improved collaboration, transparency, governance and speed, helped control risk exposure and enabled the secure transfer of about 2.0 GB of reinsurance data over four years.
