A IntraLinks Case Study
Direct Edge and BATS Global Markets merged to create the second-largest U.S. stock exchange, combining more than 20% of the U.S. equity trading market. During a compressed, two-month due diligence period they needed to share massive volumes of highly sensitive documents among multiple advisors and counterparties while preventing any information leaks.
On their bankers’ recommendation Direct Edge used Intralinks Dealspace as a confidential virtual data room, accessed by roughly 30 people from six firms, to exchange and review documents securely. The platform was quick to set up, easy to manage, and provided robust access controls; it supported the June 27–Aug 26 deal timeline with no breaches, enabling efficient, confidential due diligence.
